I am always amazed at where people go to find their information and how many wives tales are still believed to this day. You know like for instance, “don’t raise your hands above your head or your baby will strangle?” Not possible! And here’s my favorite, sleeping on your right side will kill your baby. I wrote this 2 years ago and so worth putting it out there again! As a Doula who has seen birth in a variety of ways, please be careful of the words you choose when describing the birth of a baby…an epidural does not make you a failure, pitocin does not make you a failure, hospital births do not make you a failure, c-sections do not make you a failure!! Giving birth any way you desire with whatever outcome makes you the best mom ever because in the end you chose life!!!
